Kalachcuhi, or Plumeria, is a common ornamental plant in houses, parks, parking lots, and other open-air establishments in the Philippines.
The trees are often associated with ghosts and graveyards. Plumerias are often planted on cemetery grounds in both Philippines and Indonesia. Its flowers are often used as floral offering to the dead or in temples. However, Plumeria trees are nowadays also planted along residential subdivisions and villages as it has a beautiful distinctive tree canopy shape. It is low maintenance and produces beautiful flowers during summer.
Uses heavy fortified soy wax for better heat resistance and better scent.
